Alan Richardson

 

Alan Richardson is Professor of Philosophy and Distinguished University Scholar at the University of British Columbia. He is Vice President and President Elect of the International Society for the History of Philosophy of Science (HOPOS). His research deals with the history of philosophy of science in the 19th and 20th centuries and employs methods from across the STS spectrum. He is author of Carnap's Construction of the World (Cambridge UP, 1997) as well as co-editor of Origins of Logical Empiricism (U Minnesota P, 1996), Logical Empiricism in North America (U Minnesota P, 2003) and The Cambridge Companion to Logical Empiricism (Cambridge UP, in press); he serves on the editorial board of The Open Court's Collected Works of Rudolf Carnap.

- Iowa State University

See "Publications" for a list of his activity during his fellowship. Tsou left UBC after the first year of the postdoc to take up a tenure-track position in the Department of Philosophy at Iowa State.

2009-10: Flavia Padovani, (PhD, University of Geneva, Switzerland)

See "Publications" for a list of her activity during her fellowship. Padovani went on to a postdoc funded by the Swiss government at the Centre for Philosophy of the Natural and Social Sciences at the LSE and will take up a tenure-track position in the Department of English and Philosophy at Drewel University in Philadelphia in January 2012.
